BCR Golf Classic

So why do we need to do so much fundraising?

Every community radio station in Ireland, as part of their license agreement, must raise 50% of its running costs through fundraising, grants and sponsorship. It takes a team of very dedicated volunteers to make this happen, to whom we are eternally grateful.

Southern Stars

Southern Stars was a project set up to raise money for the setting up of BCR. All the artists volunteered their time and material to the CD. It also gave many of the artists a chance they never had - to record a song. The CD was made by Brian O'Reilly at Studio Fiona in Fermoy. You can get a copy of the CD for €10, not bad for 22 songs of all types from the local talent (not just pretty faces!). Southern Stars are from North Cork and South Limerick including the Cahirmee Singers, Hugh McMonagle, Muireann Holly, Johnny Donegan, Bernadette Creagh-Dick, Tommy Gammell, Therese Walsh-Galligan, Allow Ceili Band, Booley House Feat, Bernadette Browne, Jim Foley, Linda Buckley, Ken Wheeler, the Foley Brothers, Marcella Costello, Shaun O’Dowd and Hanora, Dan Noonan, Johnny Barrett, Sharon Hogan, Willie Relihan, Kevin Owens and the Chosen Few. Your support is greatly welcomed.
