On Saturday 28th of May 2011 Ballyhoura Community Radio launched on air, broadcasting an excellent mix of locally produced programming. It has been a long & often difficult journey to broadcasting made possible only by committed volunteers and the support of the community we serve.

• BCR 92.6 covers a listenership population of over 12,000
• On air hours 1-9pm Friday, 9am – 9pm Sat & Sun & Mon with additional hours being added
• Over 150 community groups/enterprises represented on air and growing weekly
• Winner of 3 National programming awards
• Over 35 different programmes on air each week covering Community affairs, local sport, history, environment, documentaries local musicians, American and Country Irish, Top 40, Alternative, World, Classical, 40’s-00’s 

Ballyhoura Community Radio Limited is dedicated to the people and activities of north Cork & south Limerick, we are also a non profit making organisation with no shareholders. The terms of our licence require 50% of income to be sourced from grant aid and fundraising, and as such we are asking for your support by becoming a 'Friend of BCR 92.6fm'. Your contribution will help keep BCR on air and allow us to continue to give a local voice on all that matters to your community.
