THE annual Castlemagner GAA family fun day takes place on August 19 from 2pm-6pm at the GAA pitch, promising lots of activities from bouncy castles to pony rides.

For those who like to eat out there will be a barbecue with freshly cooked burgers, hot dogs and lots more. Those with a sweeter tooth will, no doubt, want to make off the cake sale and tea stalls that are always a very popular, with their local fresh produce.

There will be live entertainment on the day with a DJ playing requests and doubling as MC to keep everyone you up to date on the various events throughout the day.

There will also be an under 8s football/hurling blitz and, seeing that we are in the Olympic year, there will be races for the children and the adults won't be left out either with a three-legged race, an egg & spoon race and a sack race all adding up to lots of family fun.

Admission is free and parking is available also free of charge. So from penalty shoot outs, racing , pony rides, face painting , sweet shop, something is promised for all the family.
